The IFRS Foundation is joining Climate Week New York City from 22 to 29 September and will host a number of events, some in collaboration with partners, as well as participating in third-party events.
The events will include discussions about our IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, allowing participants to ask questions about the ISSB Standards and deepen their understanding.
Climate Week offers a great opportunity to engage ISSB members and IFRS Foundation staff to learn more about the current state of adoption and implementation of the ISSB Standards and the ISSB work plan. Please see the list of events below for more details.

Co-hosted by the IFRS Foundation and PwC. With an opening address from Emmanuel Faber, Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), this event will bring together preparers, investors and participants from the wider sustainability practitioner community to share insights from their implementation journey and perspectives on the progress to date applying the ISSB Standards.

This co-hosted event by UNEP FI and the IFRS Foundation will feature practitioners from financial institutions discussing the current state of implementation of IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures. The event will address challenges faced by financial institutions, offering actionable insights and resources to enhance an organisation’s sustainability-related disclosures and overall financial sector resilience.

Hosted by IFAC, and co-hosted with IOSCO and the IFRS Foundation, this event will explore the current state of climate and sustainability-related disclosures and how greater transparency enables investors to understand how businesses are responding to global sustainability-related risks and opportunities.

Following opening remarks from Emmanuel Faber, Chair of the ISSB, and a brief panel discussion, we will have an active exchange between investors and preparers as they start to implement IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 and use the information to drive decision making.
