About the role

Reports to: Information Manager

Job purpose:  Act as a key contributor to the global delivery of information management, feedback, and research services to the organisation

The team: Information Management

Principal responsibilities

Information Management team services

  • Update and maintain all Information Management team registers.
  • Oversee the Information Management (internal) and Comment Letters (external) inboxes, closely following the teams' inbox management process.
  • Oversee yearly subscription and database renewals with support from the Information Manager.
  • Update and maintain documentation of team processes as required.
  • Ensure all requests are logged and tracked through to completion on the team workplan.
  • Support data quality initiatives within the team and the wider organisation. 

Feedback and research services

  • Support with public consultation response processing.
  • Internal and external survey design, delivery and advisory in collaboration with Technical and Operations staff.
  • Coordination of project delivery using the Technical Feedback Database management projects, including requirements gathering, documentation and supporting the analysis processes.
  • Provide a research service to the organisation, including answering queries from technical and operations staff in areas such as news and journal articles, company and financial information, literature searches and statistics.
  • Internal and external document, data and information search and retrieval.

Information asset management

  • Creating, updating and maintaining SharePoint site administration as directed by the Information Manager.
  • ShareFile administration.
  • Subscriptions and research databases procurement.
  • Document, records and library management.
  • Oversee onboarding in relation to research and information resources.
  • Support with ad hoc systems administration tasks.
  • Artificial intelligence and data science.
  • Participate and support in the AI working group activities as required.
  • Actively participate and support AI and data science initiatives as required.
  • Source information from IFRS Foundation research databases to enable generation of insights in support of AI and data science initiatives. 

Training, support, advice and coaching

  • Deliver regular training on the Technical Feedback Database for technical project teams.
  • Provide ad hoc training and guidance on external research resources; promoting engagement and arranging external training as required.
  • Plan and execute internal information sessions relating to developments in research and information and data science.

Skills, attributes and experience required

  • Familiarity with business information databases such as EBSCO, Nexis, AlphaSense and Capital IQ.
  • Experience with SharePoint, including knowledge of site administration.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Previous experience of working in an information, research, knowledge, or library role and/or a demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in this area.
  • Experience of working independently as well as part of a team and managing a varied work load.
  • Experience of searching for and retrieving information using online databases/search engines and presenting results in a user-friendly format.
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Strong interest in data science and analytic.
  • Experience of delivering training.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a global organisation across multiple time zones.
  • Qualified in information or library management or similar disciplines.
  • Experience in developing data collection or cleansing procedures and data analysis.
  • Experience with Python programming.
