The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, responsible for the oversight and governance of the International Accounting Standards Board (Board), have appointed Lisa Bomba, Karsten Ganssauge, Jake Green and Brian O'Donovan to the IFRS Interpretations Committee.
The IFRS Interpretations Committee works with the Board in supporting the application of IFRS Standards. It responds to questions from stakeholders about the application of IFRS Standards by publishing agenda decisions with explanatory material and, if required, by developing interpretations (called IFRIC Interpretations) or amendments to the Standards.
Lisa Bomba is a Managing Director of Deutsche Bank with responsibility for developing policies and interpretative guidance related to IFRS Standards, German GAAP, US GAAP and prudential regulations. She also serves as Chair of the International Institute of Finance’s Senior Accounting Group and is a Member of the Financial Instruments Working Group of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group.
Karsten Ganssauge is a Senior Partner in PwC’s Global Accounting Consulting Services. He has more than two decades of experience in the implementation and practical application of IFRS Standards across a broad range of industries.
Jake Green is a Technical Partner of Grant Thornton UK LLP. He leads the firm’s financial reporting and audit technical teams which provide accounting advice to auditors and companies that use IFRS Standards.
Brian O'Donovan is a Partner of KPMG. He is a member of KPMG’s International Standards Group, with principal responsibility for developing audit and accounting guidance, training and publications on revenue recognition and leases.
In addition to the four new appointments, Bertrand Perrin and Yang Zheng have been reappointed for a second term.
All appointments and reappointments take effect from 1 July 2019 and are for a three-year period.
