The EY 16th IFRS Kongress in cooperation with the IFRS Foundation will take place on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 September 2017 at the Marriott Hotel in Berlin.

This year, the focus of the Kongress will be on the introduction of IFRS 16 Leases as well as presentations on international financial reporting standards such as:
- IFRS Standards— a CFO’s perspective
- IASB Update— a Board Member’s perspective
- Goodwill and Impairment— an academic perspective
- Better Communication in Financial Reporting and Conceptual Framework
- Digitisation in reporting
- DPR update
In addition, the challenges and implications of implementing IFRS 16 Leases in different sectors will be discussed in individual breakout sessions with representatives of renowned companies. There is an opportunity to learn about current balance sheets from the perspective of various industries such as media and entertainment, retail, and insurance.
