Leon Yongbum Kim

Biography

Leon Yongbum Kim is the Head of Finance Office at KT&G Corporation, which is listed on the KOSPI Exchange in South Korea. He oversees accounting, tax, treasury, budgeting, asset management, internal control over financial reporting and investor relations, including preparing consolidated financial statements for more than 20 companies. 

Mr Yongbum Kim was appointed Head of Finance Office in 2018. He has worked with KT&G since 2011, including as Head of Investor Relations, when he was responsible for liaising with domestic and overseas shareholders and overseeing external disclosure management, and as Senior Manager, when he was responsible for finance, strategy and planning projects. 

Prior to joining KT&G, Mr Yongbum Kim held financial management consulting roles with PwC in Japan, South Korea and the United States. He has more than 25 years of experience in the finance industry.

Mr Yongbum Kim is a CPA in Korea and received an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Seoul National University.
