Tadeu Cendon joined the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) on 1 July 2019. In June 2023 he was reappointed to serve a second five-year term starting 1 July 2024.
Before joining the IASB, Mr Cendon was a partner at PwC Brazil Accounting and Consulting Services (ACS) where he worked for 30 years. He was the engagement partner for the audit of major clients, including foreign private issuers; the IFRS technical leader in Brazil; and one of the designated PwC Global ACS Partners.
He served for many years as a director at the Brazilian Institute of Independent Auditors (IBRACON), as well as a member of the Continuing Professional Education Committee of the Brazilian Federal Accounting Council (CFC). Mr Cendon was also a member of the Regulation for Private Equity Funds Council of the Brazilian Association of Financial and Capital Market Entities (ANBIMA).
Mr Cendon holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration, is a post-graduate in finance, and has a Master's degree in accounting.
